Couples and single parents may adopt

Parents must be 15 years older than the adopted child

There’s no upper age limit for adopting parents – they should be deemed, physically able to raise the child to adulthood

Parents must have Ministry’s approval to proceed with adoption

Both parents are required to travel to Ukraine

Both parents are required to be interviewed at the National Adoption Center and must appear in court
